Rob

Varob Greywood, a Purple Dragon.

Character Bio/Backstory

Varob Greywood ('"Rob" to my friends, you may call me Mister Greywood.') is a farmer's son from the region around Arabel in Cormyr. He mostly spent his time in service with the Purple Dragons in the city of Arabel proper. He never went beyond being a blade, but did complete a schooling as combat medic. After his compulsory tour of duty, at 22 years of age he joined up as a Chevall with the Order of the Gauntlet (introduced by a number of pals from the army) and went out into the wide world to put in his bit for the greater good. In principle he can still be called up for the defence of Cormyr if needed, and he still considers himself as a Purple Dragon, all be it on extended unpaid leave for indefinite time. With the S8 rule changes, Rob will most likely not give up on his Army connections, and reluctantly give up on the Order of the Gauntlet.
His hobbies are carthography and travelling (preferably not by boat), dice games (he dislikes playing cards or more strategic games) and Elves. He even managed to mostly master the Elvish language, despite his limited intellectual skills. He is usually straight-forward, but polite and respectful, and will not leave his pals on the field of battle. Rob does have the mentality of a paladin, but does not really see himself work for a God, although witnessing a real miracle might convince him to.
Despite his links to the OotG, Rob has little respect for (most of) the gods and by extension their servants, Tymora being an exception to this. He holds her in high regard, but not as a direct employer, patron or the like. Although he will be polite to servants of the gods, he thinks it strange to put your life in service of a god. For him it is more logical to be the other way around: one lives their life the way you think you should, and then it follows naturally which gods can agree to that way.
One can often catch him on interjections of the form "By the X of Y", like "By the flaming balls of Kossuth!", "By the floppy tits of Beshaba!", "By the filthy lies of Leira!", "By the chesthairs of Torm!", etcetera.

Purple Dragons of Cormyr

Splendid group of men, good times. Will need some more work in this section.
